Neonatal Incubator for Babies

Can you help us fund a neonatal incubator for premature babies?

Braxton Ridge being transported in the Transport Incubator

Each year over 7000 babies are born in our region, with over 600 of the most fragile, premature newborns needing intense medical support in a Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at North Shore or Waitakere hospitals.

This includes babies like Braxton Ridge who was born prematurely at North Shore Hospital and admitted to the hospital’s SCBU to be kept under monitoring in a Neonatal Incubator which provides a nurturing, warm cocoon while a premature baby develops and grows.

His mum Ebonie, who was recovering from her emergency C-section, was eager to be transferred to Waitakere Hospital to be closer to family who live in West Auckland.

Luckily, two days after he was born, Braxton was well enough to travel in a ‘Transport Incubator’.

We are currently raising funds towards a new Neonatal Incubator urgently needed at a cost of over $37,500.

Every bit counts – so we’d love your support by clicking 'DONATE NOW'.
