Our
Ambassadors
The Well Foundation is focused on boosting health and wellbeing in Auckland’s North, West and across the Rodney district. Our Well Foundation ambassadors help us drive our message, raise awareness of our cause and hopefully inspire people to help us.
Tom Abercrombie
Breakers Basketballer
Tom grew up on the North Shore and still calls it home when he is not touring the globe playing a starring role with the NZ Breakers and Tall Blacks.
For Tom it’s a real honour to be part of the Well Foundation and help spread the word about the work we do to support healthcare at the local hospitals and in the community.
Local health services are important to Tom and his family with he and wife Monique’s first child, Pilot, being born at North Shore Hospital at the beginning of 2016, where Tom says they received great care. Tom’s paternal grandfather was also a long-serving GP on the Shore and leading a healthy active lifestyle is important to the whole family.
